Over the last 15 years Amy has gained a great deal of experience working with Children and young people in many varied and different settings.
The combination of a good education and a love of travelling has enabled her to explore many countries and cultures during which time she has worked as a volunteer, project leader, youth centre worker and secondary school teacher.
Amy’s most recent role as a Secondary school teacher has meant she has worked closely with teenagers and been involved in pastoral care issues and safeguarding. Amy has gained much experience in this area and is familiar with the challenges both emotional and physical that face young people as they experiment in their own friendships and relationships.
Amy is the proud mother of her own two wonderful children and is enjoying all the challenges that being a parent can afford!
Amy shares the view that providing young people with good information about sex and relationships is a key factor in enabling them to make better choices with regard to their own emotional safety and well being.
Most importantly Amy has a wonderful ability to communicate and empathise with young people, this combined with a lovely sense of humour means she is the ideal person to be delivering this kind of information and will be a fantastic addition to the team!
