We are thrilled to be able to offer a new talk; Festivals, Fun & Partying Problems.
As Summer 2017 approaches, your Year 11 students are booking their festival tickets and organising their summer parties! It is the perfect time to sit them down and have a good conversation about how this much-deserved fun can be done in a safe and sensible way. We aren’t telling them NOT to have fun; but to make good and informed choices whilst they are partying.
With a look at how the teenage brain works we talk about drink and drugs, risk and peer pressure and why it is so important to be prepared! The session really highlights what can go wrong and focuses on how to take care of your physical, mental and sexual health in these new, slightly more risky environments.
This talk builds on all that we do in SRE with students from Year 6 – Year 11 and revises issues such as consent, confidentiality and most importantly – where to get help if you need it.
